Should I install this update if I don't need neither plugin for Joomla, nor for Wordpress?
Are there any bugs resolved?

Yes the Joomla feature is currently a Module rather than a complete plugin that installs all of Live Help. We will make this clearer in the blog post. Sorry for the confusion there.

The Joomla module currently will automatically insert the Live Help HTML code into your Joomla template. Once the module is installed then you should just be able to adjust the position of the Live Help button within Extensions > Module Manager > Site.

You still need to install the Live Help Database and PHP script before you can use the Joomla module. i.e. the module does not currently install Live Help for you, it will do that in the future however. This is just the initial release of the Joomla module.

Regarding our Live Help chat times, we are based in Australia and not yet available 24/7 Normally our Live Help is online from 10AM-5PM Brisbane Australia time. Often we are available up to 1AM however this is not always guaranteed.

Hello Live Help,

I am a Joomla developer working on a project for a client who has a Live Help account. I am very frustrated with your plugin installation which is not a "plugin" at all. Rather, it is a Joomla Module "Extension".

I got it installed after several attempts as your Joomla installation is not a stand alone install but imbedded in your server code. But now, as I look at the rest of the installation instructions - they don't make sense. In your instructions, you refer to adding HTML code to a page. Well, presumably, that should be done with the addition of the Joomla module "mod_livehelp". But there is no place in the "mod_livehelp" to add any account or script or HTML info.

Your instructions (http://livehelp.stardevelop.com/documentation/server.htm) do not reference anything about Joomla installations. It is pretty clear you have not added instructions or comments for Joomla installations. Yet your blog states:

"The plugins allow you to easily add the Live Help JavaScript and Online / Offline buttons to your web site without editing complex templates etc."

So how is this done? This is anything but easy. I have installed other chat modules into Joomla and this is by far the most difficult. And you never appear to be "online" for chat during USA business hours.

Very Frustrated,
David Johnson
